Please compare the stripe patterns of each grade.

Snow Grade (YU-KI)／Very close stripe patterns beautifully cover at least 80% of the overall surface, which is a very unique characteristic of the clamshell.

Blossom Grade (HA-NA)／The space between each stripe is much wider and the surface has at most seven to eight stripes.

Today, most of the natural clamshells are depleted all over Japan and only a little can be found on the beach in Hyuga. Because of this, most Go stones are made of Mexican clamshell. Now, Hyuga City in Miyazaki Prefecture is Japan’s only one production site of clamshell Go stone and slate stone, knowing the traditional processing skill using natural materials.
All clamshell stone sets includes black stones, as well, which is made from Nachiguro slate stone.
