This is Tenmasa Go board with legs (4.9-sun/14.8cm thick) made by famous craftsman Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA.
Ichi-jo-saku (一如 作）means "made with Ichi-jo spirit" is the proof of his work.
The lines of a board are marked using Tachi-mori, the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword. This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
The works of Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA feature very thin markings lines, that create elegance and beauty.
All four legs are hand-carved according to the color tone of the board and grain patterns to maximize the expression and impression of wood, and to best match with the board.
Such a thick Masame board is extremely rare, as this big diameter of Hyuga Kaya wood can be hardly available recently.
Beautiful and stately board overall. Especially, the surface of top board is extremely beautiful with no color irregularity.
It has extreme premium feel and dynamic presence.
There is slight green spot but the surface of the top board is very beautiful.
