What is off-spec?
All Go stones, Go boards, Shogi pieces, Shogi boards, Go bowls, etc. are made using natural materials. For this reason, some products may present defects such as flaw, stain, crack and/or wood knots, or damages caused at the time of manufacturing and/or storage, and thus they cannot be sold at full price. We do not sell any product with significant defects. We may sell some products with minor defects as "off-spec products" at a discounted price upon confirmation that customers are duly aware of any defects in advance. We try our best to describe the condition of any defect as precisely as possible using pictures and text. Please order items only after checking and accepting the condition of defects. Thank you.
*'Defects' refer to any scratch and flaw.
You may find small knots, burrs, rolled-in bark as all these products are made of natural trees.
There may be some small flaw or scratch, dent, chipping.


This Go board made by board craftsman Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA.

This Kiura 4.8 sun (147 mm thick) table Go board is made from Hyuga Kaya wood.
Ichi-jo-saku (一如 作）means "made with Ichi-nyo spirit" is the proof of his work.
The lines of a board are marked using Tachi-mori, the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword. This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
The works of Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA feature very thin markings lines, that create elegance and beauty.

Truly rare Hyuga kaya one-piece board.
This 147 mm-thick table Go board is the highest grade with extraordinary presence.

This board is Kiura, there is a Itame part in some of top surface.
Top and bottom has grown knot, Bottom has scratch, each cutting side and bottom has many fixed small cracks.
Crack is very shallow and already fixed so it will not bother you in daily use.

Shipping Method

  1. Domestic shipping: Sagawa Express
    Shipping charge 1,000 JPY all over Japan (fixed rate)
    For those customers who purchase over 20,000JPY/order, we would like to cover the shipping charge.
    * Extra charge for cash on delivery will be added.
  2. Overseas shipping : Express Mail Service (EMS), Air Mail (Air), Surface Air Lifted (SAL), Surface (Sea)

    Customer will be able to see the actual shipping charge before placing an order.
    * We will not be able to deliver our products to some countries and regions. When you cannot find your shipping charge on our site, please directly contact us.

    Note for the Packing Cost
    The overseas shipping charge is to be calculated based on the total weight of your order. Please kindly understand we will add 38% of the total weight for this calculation, which includes packing cost, insurance fee, and handling charge for overseas shipping service. Thank you.

Important Notice (For within Japan shipment)

  • For the domestic shipment, please specify the delivery date desired, 4 days or later from the ordering date.
  • Please kindly understand that all the orders received after 1pm on Friday through Sunday shall be handled on Monday. We will ship your order within 1 to 3 business days. We will inform you immediately if the shipping might be delayed for some reasons.

Important Notice (For overseas shipment)

  • When we ship our products to overseas, we are required to write the price of each product on the shipping slip. So please kindly understand that the recipient may know the price of the gift.
  • We are also required to enclose packing slip inside the packaging. Please kindly understand that the recipient may see the price of each product. Thank you.
  • Please kindly understand that all the orders received after 1pm on Friday through Sunday shall be handled on Monday. We will ship your order within 1 to 3 business days. We will inform you immediately if the shipping might be delayed for some reasons.
  • If your shipping address is outside of Japan, you will have to pay a custom fee.

If you did not receive an automatic reply e-mail after placing an order, there is a possibility that the reply was blocked or sorted as SPAM mail. In the event that we cannot ship your order by the method you requested (For overseas only).

  • In rare cases, we are unable to ship an order by the method requested, depending on the country/region, weight/size limitations and other reasons. We will e-mail you immediately and inform you of an alternative shipping method and cost. We will refund you the balance if required. If it costs more, we will cover the excess charges.
  • In some cases, we need to dispatch in two or more shipments depending on the number and size of your orders. In such cases, our company will cover any additional shipping costs.

In rare cases, we are unable to ship an order depending on the country/region, weight/size limitations. Then we will e-mail you immediately.

Returns or Exchange

Please E-mail us when you wish to return or exchange the product.

We would like to exchange the defective product immediately. Please return the product at customer expense. We will refund you the shipping charge after we confirm the defect.
If same product is not available or the products is a limited edition, we will refund you both product and shipping charge after we confirm the defect.
